but she just kept going
rear ended
but she just kept going…
a year of chronic pain spent sprawled out on the couch
but she just kept going…
broken brain
but she just kept going…
forgotten conversations and discombobulated thoughts
but she just kept going…
debilitating depression
but she just kept going…
financial ruin
but she just kept going…
losing her home
but she just kept going…
losing the trial for the car accident
but she just kept going…
there were years that all i could do was just keep going. it wasn’t easy and many days i was simply in survival mode. i had to make a choice to keep going forward, even when sometimes it felt like i was just going backwards. but slowly i found better days. i found hope and held on tight. i found color and paint and messes and started to tell my story. over and over again. in paint i spoke out my dreams and found a creative life of becoming who i was created to be.
i promise there is life around the corner friend, if you will just keep going.

Hi Wendy, Hope you keep writing new poems along with your art, at your own good pace.
I find your work to be uplifting because it is so true.
Excellent Post, as always.
Take good care, Ellen
You are such an encouragement to others. I know what it is like to have brain issues as I was born with a problem. I can identify with the things you described. I find that creativeness is a healing medicine that cannot be bought at the pharmacy-probably the best therapy one can do. Keep going…it is well worth it.
Hurray for her! She is making beautiful things.
You have no idea how much I needed to hear this today. Thank you!
This is such a pretty picture.Love the colours.
Beautiful piece of artwork and encouragement. Have a great day and a fun, peaceful Thanksgiving.
just logged in after being gone for over a week~ your words and your art are an inspiration….

I just found some of your videos on youtube while researching different painting techniques, and I just want to say that you are a tremendous inspiration. Thank you!
thank you so much! that means a lot to me.
Hi, Wendy. I love your wonderful site, your art and poetry, and inspiring story! What a joy to discover kindred souls and new friends around the world, via the web.
I also have a whole new life in art, as I have 24/7 pain. Pain and disability can be great friends, leading us to new adventures!
