good morning friends. i can hardly believe that it is week 40 of 52 weeks. i mean really? this year has really just flown by. this time last year my business was only a seed. now to see how far it has come, wow! sorry i was a little missing in action last week. i have confession. i was totally burning myself out. for some crazy reason, i placed all of these expectations on myself. i guess it is easy to do at this time of year. i wanted to make the most of this season and have all of my projects finished that i was seriously driving myself crazy. so i just had to stop forcing it. you know the feeling you get when you are trying to get ahead of yourself and nothing seems to flow. that was so me! i have had to stop and take a few deep breaths. breathe in. breathe out. ok, much better. thanks for listening to my little rant for a minute. it really is therapeutic being able to share my struggles with you all. and i am so thankful for all of you, my readers and my old and new friends and all of you other creatives who stop by on a regular basis. thank-you.

now that i have that out of the way, let’s get on with 52 weeks and one of my favorite things; color. i think i am mostly obsessed with this peacock inspired color scheme as of late. it all started with these curtains that i found for my house. and now i am seeing peacock blue and lime green everywhere i look.

i wanted to decorate my tree in only these colors, but i didn’t have the funds to invest in all new ornaments. maybe next year. maybe i will hit all of the after christmas sales. but for now, i will have to settle for making my own stockings with these two colors. i have some satin waiting to become stockings. and here is how these colors have been translating into my artwork recently.

I love those two colors together! I bet a tree decorated in lime and cobalt would be so pretty.

Wow Wendy! Your house is soooo beautiful! And like Brandi, I think the two colors are beautiful together.
