Teaching at Gilding the Lily

Hello! I am so excited to share with you that I will be teaching at Gilding the Lily in Fullerton California this September!!! It’s been a dream of mine for a while now to travel and be able to teach art classes and workshops. It’s so exciting to see a dream realized. Teaching art is one of my favorite things. I will be teaching Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11. So if you are in CA, or would like to meet me there, I would love to have you!!!

The first class is called Gathering Story: An Art Journal

Saturday, September 10, 2016 10 AM- 4:30 PM

Class Fee: $140. $20 Kit fee

I will provide a moleskin to each student to use as the base of our art journals. I will be sharing my favorite art journaling techniques as we explore telling our stories. We will be using vintage/ found papers, hand stitching, paint, and collage to transform a simple journal into a one-of-a-kind art piece. I hope you can come play with us!!!

The second class is called Vintage Stitched Collage

Sunday, September 11, 2016 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Class Fee: $140

Come join me for a day of creative exploration. In my Vintage Stitched Collage Canvas workshop we will build layer upon layer atop a canvas base. Much as an old fashioned sewing circle we will sit side by side, needle in hand as we create our stitched canvases. With a sprinkling of paper and paint, perhaps a snip of fabric, I will share my process for creating the beautiful pieces. Come spend the day with us, making new friends and catching up with old, as we learn to create in this colorful, lively way!
