Week 2 Make Art That Sells

October 22, 2013

Whew!!! Week 2 of Make Art That Sells is over. I am beat. Like really. I have never worked so hard for a class and I am learning so much about myself. And I have so much to share with you all. I am learning how to tap into a new place of joy and silencing my inner critic. I even have a blog post started on all of it, but my brain cells are melted at the moment. We are now moving onto Children’s Books this week. So far out of my comfort zone so it should be interesting but fun!!!

It’s a dream of mine to have my artwork featured on products in the store  Anthropologie. And our assignment this week was to design a set of plates that would be sold in Anthropologie or West Elm or any high end home store. I loved this week because I love love love the Home Decor market. I can really see myself making artwork for this market. So here it is…

Dear Wendy, I was just thinking about you, and how much color and beauty your art prints add to my life. So reading about Home Décor sounds wonderful, and I love the plates too.

I adore Antrho, just wish we could win the lottery so I could bring home all the cool stuff that is already on my wish list.
