new neon paint

neon. it’s the latest trend. at first, it wasn’t really my favorite. i mean, i remember neon being the thing when i was in sixth grade. i wore my black and neon jumpsuit to school. oh yes… don’t you feel old when a trend circles back and you remember the first time it was here? neon in the eighties was so… overpowering and overwhelming.

so i was a little hesitant to jump on board the neon train. then it started to grow on me little by little. and i saw neon done in a not so in your face way. little bursts of neon in the midst of neutrals, so fun and fresh!!! i really love the color palettes that holly becker of decor8blog creates. i think that is where i first started finding inspiration for playing with these colors.

i found some cheap neon paints at joann’s fabrics and went to work. here are a few places neon has been showing up in my work…
