journal challenge day 22

October 19, 2011

today’s journal page is very simple and i like it. i love that using watercolor paper means that i can leave more white in my pages. i love the movement on this page. it’s not like anything that i have done before. the simple background makes the words stand out even more. all i used is ink on these pages which is really fun.

materials used: india ink, and acrylic ink.

wendy, i am also liking the white with words standing out in black. Always debating whether I like a simple page with less or a full page with lots of color…guess it depends on the mood!

Yes, very nice. Altered books are new for me, but I have old poetry hardcovers from my mother, and perhaps I’ll try something with them during our long winter. This post of yours is a poem!

I’ve also been thinking about the way we connect with different colors at different times. Our autumn is past its peak and I look forward to November’s colors too and seeing the trees like lace against the sky.
