it’s altered life thursday and i have some exciting things to share. not just one altered book page, but two! and a video to boot. wahoo!

so i have been playing around with altering some cardboard. we seem to have a surplus of cardboard in our house right now. i peeled back the paper around the edges so that you can see the corrugated portion of the cardboard. so fun! i am loving the texture of the cardboard.
what i used:
cardboard
gesso
acrylic paint
paintbrush
sewing machine
found papers
tim holtz spray inks
tim holtz distress inks
copic markers

I’m in love! What sort of needle do you use on your sewing machine when you sew on the found papers- is it a leather needle?
no i just use a regular needle natasha. i try to make sure it is a bit heavier. trust me though, i have a ton of machine problems stitching on papers. maybe i should get a leather needle.
