so i have been playing around with altering some cardboard. we seem to have a surplus of cardboard in our house right now. i peeled back the paper around the edges so that you can see the corrugated portion of the cardboard. so fun! i am loving the texture of the cardboard.

what i used:

cardboard

gesso

acrylic paint

paintbrush

sewing machine

found papers

tim holtz spray inks

tim holtz distress inks

copic markers

i hope you enjoy the video!

I’m in love! What sort of needle do you use on your sewing machine when you sew on the found papers- is it a leather needle?

no i just use a regular needle natasha. i try to make sure it is a bit heavier. trust me though, i have a ton of machine problems stitching on papers. maybe i should get a leather needle.

First time visitor… glad I stopped by, what a treat!! Love it.
I have enjoyed your site, and will return.
    Great technique using the cardboard.
I agree, love the texture it leaves behind.
I’ve been working on cardboard paintings myself, very addictive! :]
I have also thought about creating an art journaling book, using the cardboard… creative minds think alike :]
Thank you for sharing your video, delightful.
