finding my style
i have this irresistible urge to edit my etsy shop right now. i have been mulling this over for a while now. i think it is normal. my style is changing and some of the pieces just don’t fit me anymore. i guess you could say i am outgrowing them. i will always love my beginning work, but it is time to start moving on.
i am not exactly sure which pieces will stay and which will go. i know the ones that have been in the shop for a while and haven’t sold at all will be removed. i just haven’t decided if i should let them expire or deactivate them or not.
so in an effort to replace some of these pieces i have started painting like mad in the studio this week. i want more pieces that feel more me. and i think i am getting closer to finding my style.
here is a peek at some of the new pieces. they are not quite done yet either. i think i must have chevron on the brain because i have started putting it in some of my paintings. i am having fun layering patterns right now. not sure exactly where inspiration will lead me.
OOoh, friend, I love this new direction! Can’t wait to see more. And as for the chevrons, maybe it’ll become a signature thing for you?
thanks friend! who knows? i am just having fun with it right now. it is definitely going to be a collection when i am done. i just need some more canvases!
So nice, I can’t wait to see them the rest of them.
This is actually Shannon on Joel’s computer 🙂 If you decided to discontinue “I Do Until Forever” let me know first. I want to get that one – maybe as our anniversary gift; Joel and I just need to talk about what size, etc. Love you!
no worries shannon! until forever is way too popular for me to discontinue right now. i am actually thinking about removing paintings that have never sold. besides, i can always sell something even if it isn’t on etsy. 🙂
nice job wendy. can’t wait to see the completed pieces.
