gift bags
good morning friends. the countdown is on and i still have so much to do before the big day. presents to wrap, stockings to hang (the ones i just made yesterday), centerpieces to create, a house to clean, cookies to bake, stocking stuffers to buy, not to mention memories to be made with my little ones and mistletoe to find with my husband. but i thought i would just stop in and show you what i have been up to.
last night i had a lovely girls night out with dear old friends. we have been girlfriends for 17 plus years and have walked through many life changes together. it is rare to have us all in the same country. so when we do get together, it is a sweet time. i made these beautiful gift bags for each of them. inside was another handmade gift. i love giving something so personal and unique to loved ones. there is nothing like giving of your time and creativity. it lets people know you care. and at the same time, not burdened that you spent money on them like they have to return the favor. because let’s face it, who really needs another gift card to the mall?
the amazing roben marie has a class going right now on how to create one of a kind sewn gift bags. when i saw her beautiful bags, i knew i had to learn more. this is what i have been making with what i have learned from her. please go check out her video to see more. i am having a ball! and if you are interested in taking her class yourself, go here. it is definitely worth the money!
