hello everyone! it is week 18 of 52 weeks and this week is introduce a friend. well i want to not only share with you one of my friends, i want to share something amazing she is doing right now. brandi is really the first person i met online. in the beginning, she would answer all of my questions about etsy and business. now we bounce all of our ideas off each other and support one another as we both step out into new arenas. it is exciting to have a business friend. well i am so happy to announce that brandi is starting an e-course soon. it is called how to be a color rockstar: a color e-course for artists. and i can’t wait to tell you more about it. what exactly is a color rockstar?

a color rockstar is an artist who knows color inside and out, and they can be any artist working with any medium – a jewelry designer, a photographer, a painter, a clothing designer. it doesn’t matter the medium they use; it’s the way they use color.

i just have to take a moment to brag about  brandi! first of all, she is a true color rockstar and it shows in all of her beautiful jewelry designs. i just love the way that she combines color in all of her pieces. you can go to her shop to see more. if you have ever visited her blog, you will find color inspiration on a daily basis. brandi knows how to jam when it comes to color and i couldn’t think of anyone more experienced to teach this course. here are some more of her quailifications:

my name is brandi and i graduated college with a studio arts degree. over the last decade, i’ve experimented with a variety of mediums – painting, printmaking, drawing, metalsmithing, installation art, and sculpture. i currently own and run a jewelry business called Catie’s Blue, and maintain a blog where i post things that inspire me. the one thing that has carried me through all of my creative endeavors has been color, and i am so excited to share what i know with you!

    A color rockstar indeed! I love brandi’s color inspirations, too.

    I just came from your interview with Dana– great job! Your girls are the same age difference as my girls, though mine are 6 &8 now. Iloved being walked through your typical day, which sounds a lot like mine used to be, and are over summer vacation. Kudos to you for making the most of each little minute you can carve out.
