the morning after success
i am not sure how to top yesterday. i launched my new website. i had a guest blog post over on scoutie girl. i had the highest hits on my blog EVER times two. what an emotional high! so what do you do when you have to follow your own greatness? it is the same feeling you get after you paint a truly magnificent painting. you are convinced that nothing will ever come close to your latest masterpiece. that maybe, your moment has passed. or at least that is what your fears tell you.
so where do you go now? well, first of all it is time to savor the moment. you just had the most amazing day ever yesterday. and why should you even try to top it? it’s ok to linger in the sweetness of victory. give yourself permission to stop and smell the roses. you are AMAZING and all your hard work just paid off!!! you took a risk. you put yourself out there. and guess what? you deserve it. did you hear me? YOU deserve it. guess what else? it is time to believe in yourself. you just accomplished something you couldn’t even imagine doing a few weeks ago. so are you going to dare to believe in yourself? or will you just slump back into fear and uncertainty?
what is next? remember those fearless dreams you have been dreaming? the ones that give you goosebumps. well it is time to revisit them. yeah, you have seen a step towards those dreams coming true. but you aren’t there yet. and it’s time to start visualizing those dreams coming true. remember your recent success? it is time to believe that those dreams are right around the corner and that you can see them come to life. it is time to grow in becoming brave… take another risk and put yourself out there again. yes it is time to get back to your goals and keep stepping out in new ways.
of course, there is no guarantee that you will be successful next time. there is no guarantee that your heart won’t be crushed and disappointed. but i guess that is the risk you will just have to take. but no matter what, you will always be able to look back at this moment and say, yes i did it. i believe in myself. i know there is so much more out there for me.
