a work in progress
i just finished a painting. i wish i could share it with you, but i have to wait a few weeks. i painted a picture for my friend who is getting married. i don’t want her to see it yet, so i have to wait to show you! i didn’t think she read my blog until the other day when she left a comment.
so i will just have to share two projects that are still in progress. the first is an altered book. i am thinking about teaching a class at my local hobby lobby, and i thought altered books would be a great project to do in a class. they are so much fun to make!
another work in progress is this fun banner painting. i love how the background with the vintage paper looks with the patterned paper. obviously, i am not finished with it yet. i will post a picture of the finished product soon!
oh and i thought i would share some flowers that i stitched up as well. it makes for a great thing to do while watching tv.
this post just feels appropriate today because i feel like so much of my business is a work in progress right now. i am still in the process of figuring everything out and it’s ok. as you can see from these pictures, there is still beauty in the process. sometimes pieces are the most lovely in the process, because the possibilities are endless. you never know what it is going to look like in the end.
You are totally inspiring me Wendy! I wish I was there to be creative with you. When I get back from the honeymoon we have to chat more – share the creative juices 😉
so it’s a good thing i did not post the picture i painted for your wedding present i guess. lol!
wendy, if you start teaching a class, PLEASE let me know–my sister and i would love to take it! we love looking at your work, and i have a feeling one of us (not me) has some creative things inside that just need a little bit of help to come out 🙂
that would be awesome cara, i am starting to get everything together so that i might be ready to teach one this summer.
